Job Title: FP&A Accountant

Location: Telford

Daily rate: £45,000

Type: Permanent

A FTSE 100 Financial Services business based in Birmingham is recruiting a FP&A Accountant to join their company on an initial six month contract. This is a great opportunity to join a business that is thriving despite the difficult economic climate. The main responsibility will be for reporting monthly MI estimates for key performance metrics including PBT, Operating Profit and Assets under Administration.

Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed review of monthly performance estimates and provide supporting analysis
• Provide appropriate challenge to ensure reported performance is accurate and well explained
• Prepare IFRS and AuA monthly MI submission templates with supporting commentary to explain monthly performance estimate and variance to quarterly and annual projections
• Ensure IFRS, AuA and SII monthly performance estimates are prepared on a consistent basis
• Prepare professional and compelling MI packs for all key performance metrics (including Solvency II) to support the governance process
• Respond to review comments and queries on monthly MI submission
• Develop relationships with the key stakeholders/ other data owners

Experience and attributes required:

• Recognised accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, ICAEW)
• Proven experience in delivering value added MI
• Life insurance experience and FS experience within a regulated environment is desirable
